Theatre’s 40th Anniversary Gala On June 12, Arena Civic Theatre will hold its 40th Anniversary Gala at the Moose Club 20 School St Greenfield, MA The semi-formal event will
provide a buffet dinner with a variety of meat and vegetarian dishes, desert, a cash bar and a musical presentation of various
show tunes spanning our 40 years of performance in Franklin County. Amy
Roberts-Crawford is musical director for ACT veteran performers Martha King-Devine, Jerry Marcanio, Alana Martineau, Dawn
Mayo, Dave Peck, Keleigh Pereira, and Steve Woodard. Song selections will include numbers from shows such as “Annie
Get Your Gun,” “Cabaret,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “King and I,” “Little Shop
of Horrors,” “Godspell,” “Oklahoma,” “Oliver,” “Sound of Music,” “Wizard
of Oz,” and others. Arena Civic Theatre was founded by Ann Christern in 1970,
with its first production “The Front Page.” We performed at the Roundhouse at the Franklin County Fairgrounds
for more than a decade. After a period of utilizing various performance spaces, ACT became a resident company at The Shea
Theater in Turners Falls in 1990, where we remain today. Over forty years, we have produced 178 shows, and have won multiple
awards at Community Theatre Association competitions. It is estimated that more than 2500 people have worked with the company
as performers, staff and technical crew. The Gala event will begin at 5:30 PM with cocktails, followed by
dinner at 6:00 and the musical performance at 7:00. Tickets are $30.00 each, are limited, and need to be purchased in advance. BARTENDER NIGHT Taylor’s Tavern to Host Benefit
for Taylor’s Tavern on 238 Main St. in Greenfield will
hold a celebrity bartender night to benefit Arena Civic
